A. Waste Disposal
1. Solid Waste – All solid waste, except hazardous waste as defined by the specifications, will be disposed of in the proper trash containers, trash bags, etc. This waste material will be collected at the end of each workday and stored temporarily at the FEI Enterprises, Inc. storage container. The accumulated trash will be removed from the job site once a week, or as often as necessary to maintain control of the site.
2. Rubbish – All rubbish generated by FEI Enterprises, Inc. personnel and subcontractors, defined as combustible and noncombustible waste such as paper, boxes, glass, crockery, metal, lumber, cans and bones, will be disposed of as described in item 1 above.
3. Debris – All debris generated by FEI Enterprises, Inc. personnel and subcontractors, defined as combustible and noncombustible wastes such as ashes and waste materials resulting from construction or maintenance and repair work, leaves, and tree trimmings, will be disposed of as described in item 1 above.
4. Garbage – All garbage generated by Fire Electrical personnel and subcontractors, defined as refuse and scraps resulting from preparation, cooking, dispensing, and consumption of food, will be disposed of as described in item 1 above.
B. Protection of Natural Resources
Preserve the natural resources within the project boundaries and outside the limits of permanent work.
1. Native Wildlife and Plants – Confine all construction-related activities to the sites, routes and methods specified. FEI Enterprises, Inc. personnel, subcontractors, visitors, etc., will be instructed to not disturb or encroach upon undeveloped habitats or native plants and animals that occur outside the specified work locations. FEI Enterprises, Inc. acknowledges that this job site may contain sensitive biological resources that are protected under provisions of federal and state laws, including but not limited to the Endangered Species Act, the Clean Water Act, the Marine Mammal Protection Act, the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, the California Endangered Species Act and the California Native Plant Protection Act.
2. Concrete and Cement Disposal – FEI Enterprises, Inc. personnel and subcontractors will not release any fresh concrete or cement into gutters and storm drains. Wash outs, if necessary will be performed on a stockpile of aggregate.
