OUR ROLE

FEI Enterprises, Inc. provides two types of projects:

• Turn-Key Project.
• Build to Specifications.

A turnkey project is a project where the client/customer defines the final results only. In that case, FEI Enterprises, Inc. is to define the system's requirements, compile the project's specifications, and design it to fit the architectural drawings. The client is to review and approve each of these phases, and to advise on the desired manner to go forward.

In a turnkey project, FEI Enterprises, Inc. assists the client and advises him/her on the best or most cost-effective solution for every issue.

On a build-to-specifications (build to specs) project, the client provides a complete set of drawings and specifications by an architect or professional engineer. In that case, the project is submitted directly to Operations.

Operations Management coordinates all activities with other parties involved with the project, assigns manpower, orders equipment, and verifies that material for each phase is ready for installation.

Timing is of the essence. All material, equipment, and manpower must be carefully scheduled to meet simultaneously at each phase of the project. To accomplish this task, the Operations Manager employs a computerized CPM program. The CPM program allows the Project Manager to review and analyze the progress of the work, as well as adjust allocations of resources to accommodate the project's milestones.

Inspections are performed on a periodical basis, at the completion of each phase. There are four levels of inspections:

1. The first level of inspection is done by the installer himself during the daily work. At this level the installer inspects his own workmanship and quality of the work.

2. The foreman performs the second level of inspection. In this level, the foreman inspects the work of each installer, and advises the installer about any sub-standard work. The foreman is also responsible for the corrections noted, and training of the installers to meet a higher standard of workmanship.

3. The authorities having jurisdiction over the project perform the third level of inspection. This inspection is to verify compliance with the code.

4. The owner/client's representative performs the fourth level of inspection. This level of inspection is to verify compliance with the project's specifications, drawings, and esthetical aspect of the installation.

Upon completion of the project, the client designates maintenance. FEI Enterprises, Inc. trains those individuals so they can maintain all components in working conditions, and/or replace parts that are out of order.

The owner may elect FEI Enterprises, Inc. to also provide ongoing maintenance for the installed systems. FEI Enterprises, Inc. is an approved contractor by Underwriter Laboratories to provide maintenance of fire protection systems.
